Here’s a peek at how astronauts have a pizza party in space
If you think organizing a pizza party with a bunch of your friends is already a challenge, try having one in space.
According to a tweet by Mashable, the good folk at the International Space Station decided that they won’t be outdone and will definitely have some fun while they’re in space.
NASA’s Space Station program manager Kirk Shireman took it upon himself to order the ingredients which arrived via an Orbital ATK capsule after he noticed Italian astronaut Paulo Nespoli’s craving for pizza for days.
These ingredients included flatbread, tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, olive oil, pesto as well as anchovy paste and the astronauts had a fun time assembling the ingredients which they floated around before finally enjoying.
According to the revelers, the pizza may taste a bit different from the pizza we have on earth but it tasted delicious, just the same.
