Mcdo sees continued expansion in PH
The McDonald’s chain in the Philippines looks forward to achieve a stronger footing in the country this year on the back of the middle classes’s growing preference for fast food.
George Yang, founder of McDonald’s master franchise holder in the Philippines, Golden Arches Development Corp., said in a news report that the company would end the year beyond 600 stores nationwide.
Golden Arches had 570 stores as of end-Sept. last year.
Revenues of the firm totaled P18.7 billion during the nine-month period of 2017, up 13 percent year-on-year while profit rose 19 percent to P977 million.
McDonald’s stiffest competition in the massive fast-food market here is homegrown Jollibee Foods Corp.
