NFA set to hold workshop on good housekeeping practices
The National Food Authority (NFA) is set to conduct a training course on good warehousing practices next month so as to provide comprehensive information on its preservation measures from warehousing through distribution.
In a statement, the state-run grains agency said the training course was drawn up “to create understanding of the requirements for ensuring the safety and wholesomeness of food during warehousing and distribution, and learn how to inspect for compliance with requirements for warehousing and distribution.”
The lectures will discuss the requirements of the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (PhilFDA), United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and CODEX for good warehousing and distribution practices, among other discussions.
The course fee is P 3,200 per participant inclusive of training manual, lunch and snacks. Interested participants are encouraged to make early reservations and confirm this through payment of the required fee before Feb. 14 or nine days before the event slated on Feb. 23.
