DAR distributes 228 hectares of farm land to Sorsogon farmers
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed to 59 farmer-beneficiaries certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs), covering a total of 228.41 hectares of farm lands in Donsol and Pilar towns in Sorsogon.
Sorsogon Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Leonito Gaveria said the farmer-beneficiaries deserve to share among themselves the 20 landholdings that were placed under the coverage of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) for exercising patience and diligence in taking care of the lands.
“As beneficiaries of CARP, you are entitled to the programs and support projects of the government. Many farmers aspire to be beneficiaries of this government program, but sadly not all of them are as lucky as you are,” Gaveria said.
Gaveria also recognized the efforts of Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers (MARPOs), Evan Ll. Retuerma of Pilar; in Donsol and Edmundo H. Fulleros and Alvin M. Luces of Donsol for successfully finishing the tough and long process of land acquisition and distribution to help the farmers realize their dreams.
Meanwhile, DAR also handed over 378 CLOAs to 336 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Oriental Mindoro.
The distributed CLOAs covered around 442.9844 hectares of agricultural lands in 12 towns in the said province.
