Man refused to dine in restaurant over hygiene issues
Anyone who has heard stories of generous people inviting homeless people over for lunch inside fast-food chains has surely been touched. But one restaurant owner does not find this practice appealing.
On her way to the Bamboo Garden Chinese Buffet in Canal Street, Syann Armienta passed by 65-year-old Michael Adams who lived under the bridge. She then offered to treat him a lunch buffet at the restaurant she was heading to.
But the owner of the buffet restaurant refused to let him enter because the homeless man “is not showered”, Armienta recalls in her Facebook post.
“I said, so you’re refusing to allow him to eat because he’s homeless and cannot help his hygiene conditions?! SHE TELLS ME YES!! I am seriously flabbergasted,” she added.
The Bamboo Garden restaurant has since been slammed for its disrespect for Adams, bombarded with negative reviews in the wake of Armienta’s continually spreading story .
The incident compelled Armienta and her friend to put up a GoFundMeAccount for Adams.
