Netizens blast Sangkap Filipino’s slow service and expensive food

“Sobrang mahal. Sobrang bagal. Sobrang disappointed.”

That’s how Wilart Kristina described the service of Filipino restaurant Sangkap Filipino this weekend.

Fast becoming a go to venue for Filipino food with a modern spin, Sangkap Filipino is built by celebrity chef Raymar Reyes.

It is currently in three locations namely Portico in Pasig, Vista Mall in Taguig, Ayala Malls Vertis North in Quezon City.

However, Kristina has nothing good to say about Sangkap Filipino, even going on a full Facebook rant about it.

“Nagpunta kami ng Vertis North para mag reunion ng mga college friends ko, sa sobrang dami ng waiting sa ibang restaurant ito lang ata ang walang waiting at maraming vacant space sa loob. (After namin kumain nalaman ko kung bakit walang pumipilang tao sa labas kahit holiday) so ayun since may kasama kaming bagets, Filipino food naman pasok kami,” Kristina said in her Facebook account.

“Ang sabi sa amin best seller daw yung bagnet kare kare, nung makita namin, nanlaki mga mata namin sa 8 pirasong sobrang nipis at puro taba na bagnet na sinasabi nilang best seller (sayang at wala akong picture) P 660 ata ang presyo nito, okay lang naman kung mahal pero sana yung masarap at worth it naman,” she added.

She even complained about how slow the service was.

“Hindi na po kami babalik at uulit. Sa Vertis North na branch po ito,” she further said.

Some time last year, another netizen named Lily Ang also complained about the restaurant’s bad service.

Lily said the “food was not that good and service was lousy”, which are the reasons that didn’t make them finish all the food they ordered.

For Joel Bascos, another netizen, the food in Sangkap Filipino was excellent but the service was really bad.

“We tried sangkap coz it looks like a good place to satisfy our appetite. All is going fine till I observed that some of the tables were being served first but came in much much later than us,” Bascos said.

“To the owner/owners of the said establishment, no matter how excellent your food is, if coupled with shabby crew, I am sure your business will not get that far. Rest assured that all my friends will be hearing from me regarding Sangkap,” he added.
