Netizens react to #NFARiceShortage
With the issue of a rice shortage in the NFA being investigated by authorities, many Filipinos are slowly growing more alarmed over the impact of the shortage on the current prices of the basic commodity.
While some officials are dismissing the shortage as a mere rumor so that unscrupulous traders could jack up the price of rice in the local markets, there are those who are questioning why the supply of NFA rice seems to be dwindling.
NFA rice is considered to be a more affordable alternative to commercial rice being sold in the market and the lack of adequate supply could mean that working class Pinoys would have to purchase high priced rice which the government has no control over.
Whether the shortage is real or perceived, active netizens will not lose the opportunity to share their thoughts on the crucial issue.
