NIA intensifies stakeholder engagement
As it pushes for transparency in project implementation, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 3 had been conducting stakeholders forum in all the provinces it covers, the latest of which was in the Province of Pampanga.
NIA said the forum aims to discuss the status of irrigation development of the region and of the province, status of on-going and future irrigation projects, peace and order situation, and internal security.
NIA’s Top Management officials and staff, Irrigators Associations (IAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), Congressional Representatives of the four districts, some uniformed personnel, and other stakeholders attended the event.
They were united by the common goal of providing sustainable and reliable irrigation services to Filipinos, specially, for the Kapampangans.
NIA Administrator Ricardo R. Visaya said that the event was organized with the hopes of providing transparency in project implementation and awareness in the present irrigation status, as well as the role of irrigation to the inclusive socio-economic and agricultural development of the province.
He emphasized that the forum is also a venue where recommendations and feedbacks from other stakeholders are gathered and discussed.
