Purefoods set to open plant in Sta. Rosa in 2019
San Miguel Pure Foods Co., Inc. is targeting to complete the construction of its new manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna by the first quarter of next year.
The facility, which will produce ready-to-eat products, is meant to address consumer demand for convenience and capture a larger chunk of this fast-growing segment.
Once operational, the plant will produce fully cooked viands and heat-and-serve meals.
The facility will have a total area of 20,000 square meters and was recently granted incentives by the Department of Trade and Industry, through the Philippine Board of Investments.
Some of the products that will be produced from the new plant will be exported to other countries, the company said.
