Taco Bell now more popular than Burger King
Taco Bell has surpassed Burger King in sales, becoming the fourth biggest fast food joint in the US.
The Mexican themed restaurant said sales last year climbed by about five percent to $9.8 billion, according to a news report citing the work of research firm Technomic. Taco Bell gives pride in its cheap selection of food items.
Although Burger King saw a 1.5 percent in sales, it failed to surpass Taco Bell’s figures so now takes the fifth place.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s, Starbucks and Subway all remained on their first, second and third place rankings, repectively. Wendy’s, Chick-fil-A and Dunkin’ Donuts came in at sixth, seventh and eighth place. In the ninth and tenth place were Domino’s and Pizza Hut.
