Instagram costs you more than those extra pounds
Easy on the browsing, Instagrammers. This app may just be the reason that keeps you from having a healthy diet.
Tracking Instagram posts for the past few years, food app Lose It! said it saw a steady increase in the sharing of unhealthy but yummy foods.
This high volume of posting seems to be prompting social media users to find the nearest store to grab a box of pizza or that widely popular unicorn frappuccino.
“It is likely that seeing foods like pizza, crazy desserts, and bacon more frequently via Instagram can make people more likely to have unhealthy cravings,” Sarah Molhan, Lose It!’s in-house nutrition and behavior expert, said.
As such, Molhan recommended those looking to stay on the healthy side to jack up its following of health and wellness-related accounts.
Indulging on sinful food once in a while may not really be a sin as long as it does not lead to everyday pizza selfies.
