Netizen launches tirade against Yakimix MoA
A netizen took to social media her dismay when Japanese buffet restaurant Yakimix reported her and her family to the police for simply demanding a slash on their bill for an unsatisfactory dinner.
In a Facebook post, netizen Christine Ramos Espiritu narrated that she and her family of 16 arrived 9 pm at the Mall of Asia branch. With the scant amount of food on display, her group requested that the trays be refilled but was met with the seeming reluctance from waiters who even reasoned out that there was no food to serve anymore.
“Hindi porket kami na ang last batch ng customer na pumasok eh hndi nyu na kami hahainan ng mga pagkain ninyo… Unang una sna kung d nyo na kaya maghain ng pagkain para sa customer nyo eh sana umpisa pa lang hndi nyo na kami pinapasok diba?!!” she lashed out on Facebook.
Espiritu complained that even the quality of the leftover food did not match one’s expectations for an all-you-can-eat dinner priced at P700 per head, let alone meet what makes for edible food.
This led to the group demanding for a discount from reportedly disrespectful staff members and managers who called police authorities for intervention.
Yakimix MOA eventaully gave in to a bill reduction, lifting its charge on one person but still imposed its service fees, a compromise that did not sit well with Espiritu. So, hence, the lengthy Facebook rant.
