NFA to conduct food testing, product development training
As part of the government’s overall effort to upgrade the food industry’s quality assurance and personnel development capability, the National Food Authority’s (NFA) Food Development Center is set to conduct a training course on “Basic Sensory Evaluation for Food Testing and Product Development.”
Lectures will focus on the physiological basis of sensory evaluation (incuding requirements and procedures), common types of methods, evaluation of results and sampling techniques; while the practical exercises will include hands-on preparation and sensory evalution of food products utilizing the selected test methods to food testing and product development.
The training will be held on on April 17-20, 2018 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the FDC Compound, FTI Complex, Taguig City.
It consists of five lectures for 7.5 hours and seven practical exercises for 16.75 hours.
Interested applicants will have to pay P11,500 per pax which already include food, exclusive of the room charge of P790 per room for those who want to stay at the FDC dormitory.
