The viral tendon sensation is now in Manila!
Tendon Kohaku, a specialty tempura rice bowl concept that started the recent craze in Singapore with over hour-long queues, is now in Manila.
The restaurant offers “generous portions and mind blowingly delicious” Tendon bowls.
For instance, the Shrimp Tendon Bowl, worth P450, is comprised of 8 pieces of Wild Tiger prawn over rice, served with miso soup and yuzu pickled radish.
“Tendon Kohaku’s secret lies in the mixture of what goes into their tempura: fresh ingredients, tempura batter that’s cooked to a crispy amber. Pooled together with their in-house secret sauce, it gives their tempura a flavor profile unlike you’ve ever tasted,” the restaurant said.
The UCC group of Hubert Young, responsible for the successful opening of Coco Ichibanya Curry and Mitsuyado Sei-men Tsukumen in Manila, holds the Philippine franchise of the restaurant.
The restaurant is located at 3/F Uptown Mall, 36th Street Corner 9th Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
It operates from 11 am to 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 11 am to 11pm from Friday to Saturday.
