Anchor rolls out new fatty products to PH
Famous for their butter and cheese, Anchor will be introducing new fatty products to the domestic market as it banks on the growing awareness of healthy fatty foods to stimulate appetite.
“Butter has been misunderstood, as well as other fatty foods. They had a bad rep, but today, consumers are more aware about the benefits of certain “good” fats,” Jasmin Magsajo, Anchor marketing director in the Philippines, was quoted in an Inquirer report.
Butter has long been regarded as a cause of heart diseases and obesity. But science has recently been discovering that butter, in moderate consumption, is good for you; it is rich in fat-soluble vitamins and saturated fat which increases good cholesterol.
Aside from butter, other sources of healthy fats were found in salmon and tuna, avocado, seeds, nuts, and plant-based oils.
Responding to this development, Anchor and its parent company, Fonterra, are bringing out new fat and milk products to the Philippine market
These products include shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, grated parmesan, cheddar block, cream cheese spread, and whipping cream.
