A Kickstarter Project wants you to meet your Final Straw
With the growing problem of plastic and non-biodegradable waste plaguing the world, environmentalists and sustainability advocates have thought of countless campaigns to reduce the generation of waste.
Many cities and establishments have banned single use plastic and plastic straws to stop contributing to the problem. Patrons have been encouraged to use reusable steel straws and eco bags on their dining and shopping sprees.
But an innovative team has invented a collapsible alternative to plastic straws that clog our oceans and landfills after they are used. The team came up with The Final Straw, which is a compact straw that can easily fit inside its container that is as small as a keychain. Flip it out whenever you need a straw and fold it back after you’re done.
Its also BPA free which means its safe from harmful chemicals and can be used even by kids. It also comes with a squeegee to clean the inside of the straw. The project now has $46,533 out of the $12,500 goal and is backed by close to a thousand people who support the product.
Estimated delivery of the Final Straw is November, 2018.
