Madrid Fusion to stay in Manila for two more years
Madrid Fusion, the world-renowned culinary and gastronomy conference, will push through end of September this year, contrary to earlier reports that the international event has been totally cancelled.
According to reports, Madrid Fusion still has two more years to complete the five-year contract signed by the Department of Tourism under the previous administration with Foro de Debate, the Spanish company that owns the Madrid Fusion trademark.
With this confirmation, Singapore, which was reportedly eyeing to get the rights for the event will have to wait until 2020.
Filipino people, who stand to lose more from the rumored cancellation of the event, were able to dodge the bullet. For one, Madrid Fusion has been the launching stage for many of the who’s who of the culinary world today.
