Makers of ‘impossible burger’ eyes Asia as next market
Impossible Foods, one of the leading plant-based burger producers in the United States, is planning to bring its signature organic burger called ‘Impossible Burger’.
A report showed that Impossible Foods recently made $114-million convertible note investment, which could pave the way for the company to make its first international debut in Asia this year.
The company’s sole product to date is the Impossible Burger, which tastes and looks like real meat unlike many traditional vegan burgers.
“It even “bleeds” like a burger, a quality created by beets,” the report said.
As of now, Impossible Burger is only available in 1,300 restaurants in the US.
The report further said that following the company’s accumulated $400 million in investments, the company may launch more plant-based products beyond the Impossible Burger.
“Our goal is to produce a full range of meats and dairy products for every cultural region in the world,” Chief Financial Officer David Lee told FoodNavigator USA.
