PH explores possible agriculture ventures with Korea
The Department of Agriculture (DA) is now exploring possible agriculture ventures with Korean government, a statement showed.
Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol and Korean Ambassador HE Han Dong-man recently discussed matters related to the upcoming state visit of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to Korea in June.
During their discussion, the two also talked about the possible Memorandum of Understanding that calls for an agricultural cooperation between the Philippines and Korea.
This, according to DA, is expected to be forged in June during Duterte’s state visit in Korea.
In the same meeting, which was held at the DA Central Office this week, Piñol also conveyed his interest to negotiate for lower import duties for fresh and processed fruit exports to the Republic of Korea as well as a joint-study for possible trade agreements.
