PhilRice pushes rice stakeholders push to use high quality seeds
Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) is now focusing on the use of high quality seeds for progressive rice farming in the country.
Just recently, about 400 participants including farmers, extension workers, students, provincial and municipal agriculturists, experts, and partners across CALABARZON gathered at the PhilRice for the Lakbay Palay Dry Season 2018.
The event intends to showcase rice-related technologies and innovations to stakeholders.
This year’s theme “Binhing Dekalidad, Pagpapalayang Maunlad!” focused on the use of high quality seeds for progressive rice farming.
During the event, PhilRice Los Baños Acting Branch Director Rhemilyn Relado challenged the participants, most especially the farmers to become more receptive to new information and technologies on rice farming.
She then urged to strengthen the partnerships among stakeholders for a bountiful harvest in the country.
