Pork-free household of Mariel and Robin Padilla still enjoys Lydia’s lechon
Even if the household of Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla is pork-free, it doesn’t rule out getting food from Lydia’s Lechon, a classic Filipino-owned business popular for its roasted pork.
On Instagram, Mariel Padilla shared how her family can still enjoy the food offerings of Lydia’s Lechon even if they don’t eat pork since they are muslims.
“Pork is strictly not allowed in our home. Good thing Lydia’s Lechon has a wide variety of food not just your typical pork lechon. They also have kare-kare, prawn pancit, and beef chili (oh my napakasarap as in!!!) Like kaldareta na maanghang. A lot more actually,” Mariel said.
At one point, Mariel even said that their family is a fan of Lydia’s Lechon Baka.
“Of course their best seller is lechon that is why in our special tribute party for mama Eva, we had Lydia’s Lechon Baka and our gests enjoyed it,” she said.
“They have been around since 1965 and still the same great taste,” she added.
Lydia’s Lechon, home of the Philippines’ original boneless lechon stuffed with seafood paella, has been serving its customers for more than 50 years, from a small stall in Baclaran to over 28 stores.
