How would you like a ketchup in your ice cream?
An ice cream parlour in England is mixing up some crazy flavors customers will either love or hate.
Makcari ice cream parlour surprised its patrons by offering tomato ketchup and mushy peas flavored ice creams. The seaside café in Herne Bay, Kent has been selling these crazy frozen desserts for a week and it’s only just the beginning.
The custom made ice creams were made with actual Heinz tomato ketchup and real mushy peas, Nejmi Hassan, co-owner of Mackari, shared in an interview with Kent Online. The goal is to keep the customers intrigued.
The cafe has also introduced a Marmite ice cream which the customers will “either love or hate”. They are now in the process of launching an English breakfast flavor, with eggs, bacon and baked beans.
These wacky flavor gimmick started when a Brit tourist challenged the staff by ordering a traditional morning fry up while soaking up the sun in Cyprus.
They served him with a limp-looking frankfurter, under-cooked bacon and watery egg he was served with salad which he shared through social media.
Now Hassan is taking the challenge up a notch by urging his customers to think up a range of stark flavors for staff to try and emulate.
