Manila Water vows more service improvement programs in Bulacan

As it marked its first year of operations, Manila Water Philippine Ventures unit, Bulacan Water, has vowed to continue to undertake rehabilitation programs to improve the delivery of reliable water supply in some communities in the Province of Bulacan.

Since it took over the water operations of some subdivisions in San Ildefonso, Pulilan, Sta. Maria, Plaridel, and Malolos City in 2017, Bulacan Water now serves over 7,500 water service connections.

“More service improvement programs are set to be implemented in the coming years to further enhance service delivery and improve customer experience in company’s service areas,” Manila Water said.

During its first year of operations, Bulacan Water began addressing the common issues on water quality, supply availability and service reliability plaguing the subdivisions by instituting various system rehabilitation and efficiency programs such as utilization of proper treatment technology, refurbishment and maintenance of water facilities and appurtenances

To ensure premium quality of water, microbiological tests are conducted regularly in coordination with municipal and city health offices.

In order to augment supply, the company has also started leakage detection and reduction programs to lower system losses and wastage and improve pressure. Recovered water is redistributed to the network for the needed water supply of the customers.
