Maricar reminisces early days of her baking business
Maricar Reyes Poon has successfully carved out a name for herself in showbusiness but even more so now that she’s entered into business selling her delicious choco liquor cakes.
In a recent post, Maricar reminisced about the time when she was not yet selling the cakes and simply giving them away as gifts to her friends. She said that she used to level the ganache with a spoon for the final touch but one of her friends observed it looked more like the aftermath of an explosion. (Good friends are super honest) This inspired Maricar to think of another way to make her cakes look better, thus came the signature swirl finish familiar to any choco liquor cake patron.
While she’s not busy baking in her kitchen, Maricar kicks back with a cup of coffee, which incidentally goes well with her cakes. Wine is also a great option. (ANGEL ONG)
