Maynilad is building new facility in La Mesa complex for P70M

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is now constructing a new building inside La Mesa Compound in Quezon City to house its expanded Central Laboratory.

The Maynilad Central Lab, which monitors and tests the quality of water supply within the firm’s concession area, is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instruments that allow Maynilad’s chemists to study compounds in the water samples drawn from over 1,000 sampling points throughout the West Zone.

Maynilad said the lab’s new P70.4-million facility has the added capability to monitor more compounds that are now part of the new quality parameters set by the Department of Health’s (DOH) updated Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.

“Ensuring good water quality is of paramount importance to Maynilad. Hence, we continuously invest in our infrastructure to ensure that the water we deliver to our over 9 million customers is potable,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base.

It is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
