NFA to conduct training on thermal processes for canned foods
The National Food Authority (NFA), through its Food Development Center (FDC), will conduct a training course on the “Establishment of Thermal Processes for Canned Foods” in June which aims to upgrade the technical capability of the food industry in establishing adequate thermal processes for canned foods.
NFA said this training is designed for technical personnel with educational background in food science, food engineering, microbiology or related fields and industry experience in food canning.
The course will last for four days and will consist of about three hours of lecture-discussions, 19 hours of hands-on exercises and demonstrations and two hours of examination.
The examination on thermal process calculations will be given to participants to monitor the learning process.
The training will be held at the FDC Compound, East Union Drive Corner ARCA Boulevard, ARCA South (formerly FTI Complex), Taguig City.
The course fee is P11,000.00 per participant inclusive of a training manual, lunch and snacks.
