UK baker creates life sized edible replica of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
In the spirit of the Royal Wedding, fans of Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle have been outdoing themselves in a bid to show their love and support for the newly married couple.
UK based baker Lara Mason is no exception because she built a life sized replica of Harry and Meghan made entirely of cake. According to a video feature by Insider, the baker took 250 hours to complete her edible masterpiece in honor of the newlyweds.
Mason used different techniques to capture the essence of Prince Harry and his bride and constantly made references a to life sized poster of the pair after which she modeled her creation. In total, she used 300 eggs, 33 pounds of sugar, 33 pounds of flour, 33 pounds of butter and 110 pounds of icing to complete the cakes. The cakes are completely edible except for the frames and can easily feed 500 people.
Mason said she has been baking realistic cakes since 2013 and has since baked replicas of her own daughters, Prince George, Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion and even Kim Kardashian.
