Unknown Croatian artisan chocolate bags international awards in London
Small time artisan chocolates from Croatia stood out among chocolates from several countries at the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London.
Taman Artisan Chocolate has made Croatia proud for bagging several awards, they were chosen out of the record breaking 1,200 entries from chocolate producers in 45 countries.
In a report from Croatiaweeek, Stiv Kahlina of Taman Artisan Chocolate expressed how much this recognition means to them.
“For us as a small producer, this is a big thing. The quality of chocolate products is growing day by day as awareness of chocolate increases. There are more and more producers in the world, especially small ones who are raising the criteria on a daily basis. Confirmation from renowned experts that we can compete in such company is an immense pleasure and motivation,” he said.
They won two silver medals for their Whiskey and Coffee filled chocolate praline; and several bronze for the Rum, Mint and Lime, Lavender and Carot truffle, Lemon and Thyme, Mango and Coriander, and Strawberry and Mint truffle flavors.
They also picked up bronze medals for their Dark 62 percent chocolate with orange, pepper and thyme, Dark 60 percent chocolate with coffee and cardomom, and Milk 41 percent chocolate with roasted sesame and curry.
