US-based Pinoys celebrate Pinoy food with unique fun run idea
If you’re a Pinoy in California looking for something fun to do this weekend with your fam, you may want to sign up for the TIKIM Food Run.
Its a different kind of fun run that celebrates the diverse culture of the Philippines through delicious food. Yup. You heard right.
While most fun runs have water stations, TIKIM has food stations. Its an entire 5K course that treats you to a food tasting station at the end of each kilometer which is loaded with your favorite Filipino food. How’s that for motivation to get to the next stop? And better yet, you’re doing this fun activity for a cause because part of the proceeds go the Bantay Bata Foundation’s feeding program.
Now doesn’t that sound like fun? TIKIM, an event sponsored by TFC, will be held on May 13 at the Cayote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo, California. Visit their Facebook page for details.
