Vegan soft serve ice cream now available in New York
A newly opened restaurant in New York is a must try for vegans as it offers something other vegan restaurants hasn’t before which is a soft serve ice cream.
Kokus, the new restaurant in West Village, is the first place to serve fully plant-based, organic, nutrient-rich soft serve which is made from cultured coconut cream, raw honey, and minimal other ingredients.
In an article from the Lonely Planet, founders Carli Blum and Gregory Struck said they were inspired to create a hydrating, indulgent treat that’s good for you and good for the planet. After all, it’s not often you can say your waffle cone of salted caramel, or whatever your vice may be, also delivers a double whammy of health benefits.
Kokus offers a soft serve base which is comprised of their signature soft serve in either lemon-vanilla tart or raw cacao. Then customers can mix it up depending on their mood.
For the general feeling of lackluster, they offer the ‘Glow’ bowl incorporates goji and mulberries, turmeric honey, and bee pollen to banish free radicals and stimulate blood flow for beautiful skin. For lethargy, the have the ‘Vitality’ bowl of matcha dust and maca-date caramel.
