We never know the stories behind the faces we see every day. Empathy, compassion, respect, and understanding are in high demand and we must work to support each other. Depression is real. #RIPKateSpade #RIPAnthonyBourdain pic.twitter.com/eQpPNBTSZY

I’ve heard many wonder, “Why would a rich, famous person commit suicide? They have everything.”
“Rich & famous” doesn’t make u impervious to human emotion, mental illness or the challenges of personal/professional relationships. It’s just money & recognition. #RIPAnthonyBourdain

We may never know his inner struggles, but the painful irony of Anthony Bourdain’s death is that he was a man who showed us how to live: fearlessly curious, empathetic and honest, and with copious amounts of wine. #RIPAnthonyBourdain

Bourdain was reportedly found lifeless in his hotel room in France and the cause of death was declared as suicide. According to CNN, he was in France filming for an upcoming episode of his award winning show “Parts Unknown.” It has not been confirmed if Bourdain was suffering from depression or any mental health illness prior to his passing but his death comes shortly after renowned fashion designer Kate Spade took her life unexpectedly early this week.
