Chef Sandy continues to learn from other chefs
Chef Sandy Daza may be one of most recognizable celebrity chefs in the country but he does admit that he still continues to improve his dishes by learning how other cooks and chefs prepare it too.
“I’ll have the kare-kare or the adobo, kasi I like to eat them everywhere., If I hear somebody’s Kare-kare is good I’ll try to find out and if it’s better than mine, I’m going to try duplicating the level or the quality of the Kare-kare to make it better,” he said in a recent interview with the UnliPh blog.
He says this is an excellent way for the food industry to evolve and for chefs to challenge themselves even more.
Chef Sandy is a big fan of good food and often shouts out to other chefs and restaurants on his social media accounts. He does this not only for big names in the food business but even the smallest carinderias who serve good food.
Chef Sandy said that he continues to learn and invent new dishes along the way and makes sure he infuses the Pinoy flavors on the dish. As a matter of fact, his restaurant Casa Daza serves two of his bestsellers, the cauliflower fried rice, and the classic okoy with Chef Sandy’s own twist. (ANGEL ONG)
