DAR distributes post-harvest facility in Ifugao
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said it just distributed P5-million worth of post-harvest facility (PHF) to the Kalanguya Cultural Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KCCMPC) to boost their agricultural products.
DAR Assistant Regional Director Robert Ampaguey said the warehouse measures 240 square meters and has a capacity of 10,000 cavans with an 84 square meter office space, for the smooth business transactions of the cooperative.
“This facility, implemented under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project III and funded by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JICA) is a great help to the farmer-beneficiaries and cooperatives’ agricultural products,” Ampaguey said.
The KCCMPC’s facility, with 1,197 membership, would be managed by Agustin C. Calya-en as the manager and Joan Jovita Uyba-an as the Chair of the Board of Directors.
The coop achieved the highest level (5th level) in cooperative maturity, DAR noted.
