Gordon Ramsay shares 3 steps to make perfect eggs to complement your Pinoy breakfast
Pinoys love their eggs, the perfect companion to their classic breakfast staple – the tapsilog (tapa, sinangag, itlog), longsilog (longganisa, sinangag itlog), as well as other silog variants.
While many prefer to have their eggs sunny side up or simply scrambled, Masterchef judge Gordon Ramsey has a different idea. In a tutorial with the show’s contestants, he demonstrated how to level up the preparation of breakfast eggs with a slightly more complicated version.
Still, it only takes three minutes (five minutes tops) to complete so what harm could those extra minutes do, right?
For the perfect breakfast companion, there are only three steps:
1. Put cold eggs and butter together into the pan
2. For three minutes, go on and off stove while stirring to make sure that the eggs don’t become overcooked
3. Lightly season the eggs towards the end of the process
Plate it with toast, tomatoes and mushroom for an upscale feel but if you want to go Pinoy, just serve it with tapa and fried rice. Viola! The perfect Pinoy breakfast to impress your family. (ANGEL ONG)
