PH urged to invest in Cambodia’s agriculture sector
Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) said the Philippines is welcomed to invest in their agriculture sector.
This was announced by MAFF during its first Joint Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting with the Philippines. The two countries particularly discussed their Agriculture and Agribusiness Cooperation.
“Cambodia encouraged the Philippines to invest in the agriculture sector of its country and enjoy the investment incentives that their government have in place,” a statement from the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture (DA).
“It also informed the Philippines that it will consider the possibility of renewing the Memorandum of Agreement on Rice Trade,” it added.
Philippines, for its part, also expressed its interest to export meat and meat products to Cambodia.
