PH’s first ever World Coconut Congress set in August 2018
The United Coconut Association of the Philippines (UCAP) in cooperation with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with the support of various chambers of commerce, is set to bring the country’s first ever World Coconut Congress in August.
The event, according to UCAP, will tackle every significant issue in the coconut industry and facilitate links of more than 500 global stakeholders to assure the progress of this sector throughout the globe.
The maiden world coconut congress will also facilitate a three-day conference and trade exhibition—the flagship event of this year’s Coconut Week.
The Philippines is the biggest exporter of coconut oil in the world. With the vast potential of the oil as it is used as an important raw material in different industries, there is a need to address pressing issues that may pose significant impact to global coconut farming.
The conference and exhibition is slated from August 14 to 16, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City, Philippines.
It will be the flagship event of the 32nd National Coconut Week Celebration, which is organized by the PCA.
Some of the world’s industry leaders and medical experts will gather to take part in the conference.
