There’s a way to prolong the life of fruits and vegetables in your fridge
For sure there have been times when you ended up just throwing your fruits and vegetables that overstayed in your fridge.
We feel it too! And an article from Womens Health Magazine will try to help us end this problem.
According to the article, you must always try to “go for ripe” when buying fruits as their quality decreases over time, even once frozen.
“Choose blemish-free items at their peak of ripeness,” the report said.
And then, it suggested that you pack your fruits and vegetables up with resealable plastics before putting it in the fridge.
“Oxygen is the enemy. Consider a vacuum sealer, which locks out virtually all air, extending the shelf life for up to a year or longer. Or stick a straw in a corner of the seal to suck out air before closing,” the report further said.
And then finally, you can also try to put a label as to when you bought the fruits and vegetables. In that way, you would be aware on when to finally consume it.
