DAR turns over road and carriageway in Negros Oriental
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) turned over a Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TPKP) project to the Local Government Unit of Bindoy in Negros Oriental.
The 28.1-linear meter Ayumit Bridge with road and carriageway width of 7.0 linear meter now connects the residents of five barangays in the area, namely Camudlas, Tubod, Manseje, Part of Danawan and Salong to the town proper.
The DAR funded the construction of the TPKP project worth more than P28.1 million and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
“Where you find the bridges, you find the genuine development,” said DAR Undersecretary for Foreign-Assisted Projects Office Sylvia Mallari.
For his part, Regional Director Luis B. Bueno, Jr. emphasized the presence of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in the area that will benefit from the projects.
These are the members of the Domolog-Poblacion-Tagaytay Farmer’s Association (DOFTAFA), Hacienda Asuncion Producers Association (HAPA), Matobato Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (MARBA), Bulod Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (BARBA), and Bindoy Federated Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (BinFarba).
