Manila Water to manage bulk water supply, wastewater services in Pagsanjan
Manila Water Company Inc. said its subsidiary, Laguna Water Corp., has bagged the contract to manage the bulk water supply and wastewater services of the municipality of Pagsanjan.
A regulatory filing, which was cited in a Philippine Star report, showed that Laguna Water already got the the notice of award from the Pagsanjan Water District for the implementation of water supply system and sanitation facilities, a project that would cost as much P173 million.
The contract period would be 18 months and would expect Laguna Water to deliver billed volume of 9.57 million liters per day.
It also covers the design, upgrade, rehabilitation, and expansion of water supply and sanitation facilities including the financing and construction of facilities and infrastructure in the serviced area of Pagsanjan.
To proceed with the deal, Laguna Water and Pagsanjan Water District will have to create a joint venture company.
Laguna Water is a joint venture of the provincial government of Laguna and Manila Water Philippine Ventures (MWPV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Water.
