More consumers are buying NFA rice
State-run grains agency National Food Authority (NFA) said that more housewives, office workers and other consumers are buying cheap but quality NFA rice from retail outlets in Metro Manila.
NFA Central District Manager Evelyn Medalla said that regular consumers of NFA rice have never stopped lining up to buy rice ever since the food agency started distributing rice through its network of accredited rice retail outlets since last week of June.
Medalla said that more consumers are happy that they can now access the more affordable NFA rice through the 1,428 rice outlets scattered around the Metro Manila markets.
As of July 9, 2018, NFA-NCR has a total sales of 178,068 bags.
