DAR holds consultation on distribution of public lands in Marawi
Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary John R. Castriciones has lead the first ever stakeholders meeting for the distribution of public lands and government reservations to rightful claimants held in Marawi City, Mindanao.
The affair convenes issues, opinions, and suggestions to address the concerns that may come up in conducting the surveys of lands, to be covered by Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), in Mindanao.
The consultation is pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to place the whole of Mindanao as land reform area and distribute all government lands, including military camps, to the CARP farmer-beneficiaries.
Among other DAR and government officials present during the consultation are DAR Undersecretary for Support Services Emily Padilla and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Secretary-General Guiling Mamodiong.
