Gretchen enjoys Pinoy hospitality and levelled up Pinoy treats in London

ABS-CBN host and correspondent Gretchen Ho has been to many adventures while travelling to different parts of the world for her coverages of sporting events.

This time around, the Umagang Kay Ganda host found herself with the Filipino community in London for the #RideLondon event.

Its good to know that Filipino hospitality is still well and alive as Gretchen is treated to levelled up versions of pandesal with dirty ice cream, ube shake & halo-halo, guyabano & calamansi sorbet, and kare-kare & chicken sopas ramen.

Of course, she did not miss her chance to visit a strawberry field in Hendrewennol to see how it compares with our Baguio strawberries.

What’s a trip to London without visiting the famous The Elephant House cafe where J.K. Rowling gave birth to the iconic Harry Potter franchise. It was definitely a perfect side trip. (ANGEL ONG)

Where J.K. Rowling gave birth to Harry Potter ☕️ She sat in the backroom of this cafe, beside that window writing, having a good view of Edinburgh Castle. Seems like the perfect inspiration for Hogwarts, huh? People have also been leaving messages for J.K. on the bathroom walls of the Elephant House, and though the owners have tried to paint over the graffiti, the number of HP fans who write on the walls is just too much that they’ve already given up. Now, they just charge a pound for tourists who come in without eating, and then the money goes to charity. Guess what? One of the beneficiaries is a community centre in the Philippines 🙃 How cool is that! #Scotland #Edinburgh #UnitedKingdom #womaninaction Bonus: Check out my IG stories 🙃
