Maynilad lifts rotational water service interruption
West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) said it is no longer implementing rotational water service interruption as the turbidity or concentration of sediments in the raw water from Ipo Dam already went down to manageable levels.
“We have also commenced the filling up of reservoirs so that supply will be enough to meet the weekend water requirements of our customers,” Maynilad said.
However, given that erratic weather patterns can bring strong rainfall over the Ipo watershed and cause the turbidity to increase again, Maynilad advised its customers to keep some stored water to ensure that they have stock for their daily needs should circumstances constrain us to again reduce production owing to increased turbidity.
“We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding,” the company said.
