Erwan responds to Italian chefs criticizing his buttery carbonara
Erwan Heussaff may have thousands of followers but not all of them are fans and he is not exempt from the occasional bashing. While there are many fans of his recipes, he has also received his fair share of criticism like that of his version of the Pinoytaho.
After receiving a ton of backlash for his “failed” taho, he came back with a new and improved recipe and redeemed himself. This time around, he earned the collective ridicule of three Italian chefs who posted a reaction of his version of buttery carbonara.
While he seemed frustrated over the criticism, he took the time to explain his side and said that from the beginning of the video, he clarified that he was not doing a traditional version of carbonara in the first place.
After doing this though, he proceeded to respond to them by making a Fresh Cacio e Pepe pasta dish the traditional way.
