Goya’s new ad triggers complaints from annoyed Facebook users
To say that Goya’s latest television commercial is polarizing, would be an understatement. The new ad recently became a hot topic on social media after netizens reacted to the “annoying” new ad featuring former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach.
The ad which is basically flashing 15 seconds of Goya’s poster with Pia would have been acceptable to Facebook users except for the annoying beeping sound on the backdrop which is usually associated with lost signals.
No surprise that netizens were quick to complain about the commercial. Some were triggered by the sound while some were confused if something went wrong with their television feed.
The ad has definitely caught the market’s attention. But whether this awareness will translate to sales is another matter, altogether. (ANGEL ONG)
