PH’s economic managers drop by Jollibee’s first UK store
Less than a month before it opens, Jollibee’s first store in the United Kingdom saw its first visitors and it’s no less than the Philippines’ economic managers.
The store, which will open on October 20, is part of Jollibee’s aggressive overseas expansion program.
On the sidelines of the Philippine Economic Briefing in UK, government officials including National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Ernesto Pernia, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Budget and Management Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Philippine Ambassador to the UK Antonio Manuel Lagdameo, Public Works and Highway Secretary Mark Villar, and Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade dropped by the Jollibee store.
Aside from that in UK, more Jollibee stores in cities such as Macau and New York are also to be inaugurated this year.
“We are truly delighted and excited to be opening and introducing Jollibee to this part of the world. As we have done in other markets such as Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, and Hong Kong, we envision to successfully serve the delicious food and warm service of Jollibee not only to the Filipino community here but also to the local British people of the United Kingdom,” said Jollibee Foods Corporation Chief Executive Ernesto Tanmantiong.
