Sili is expensive? DA chief tells public to plant it
So for those complaining about the price of sili, which went up to as high as P1,000 a kilo, Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol came up with an idea — why not plant the said commodity yourself?
“In these times, when the price of almost every commodity has gone up in the market because of the increase in fuel prices and electricity rates, it would be wise to be innovative,” Piñol said.
He suggested that when you buy Red Sili, make sure to get a few seeds, sundry these, and plant it in flower pots.
“When you gurgle in the morning when you wake up, just throw the water in the pot,” Piñol said.
“Before you know it, you would just wake up one morning to see your plants adorned with Red fruits,” he added
He also said “kailangan lang kaunting sipag para hindi reklamo ng reklamo”.
