Sweden eyes potential agriculture investments in PH
Sweden has brought in a group of investors to the Philippines who are now planning to invest in the countrys agriculture sector, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said in a statement.
In a meeting recently held in DA’s office, Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol together with Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines Harald Fries discussed potential investments of Sweden in the country’s agriculture products.
Fries and his delegation of investors particularly expressed their interests to invest on technology transfer, purchasing of local agriculture products, and empowering Filipino farmers.
For his part, Piñol expressed his delight and readiness to accommodate the potential investors.
He also highlighted the ease of doing business in the country as well as the strong directive of the President against red tape.
