Famous Fil-Am comedian may joke about his Filipino origins a lot but one thing he knows about is the rich culture of Filipino food.
That was why for the first episode of the vlog Curry Shop, Jo Koy was the obvious choice as a guest for exploring Pinoy food.
During their hangout sesh in NYC, Jo Koy and vlogger Horsepowar explored the roots of Pinoy fusion food that is taking the US by storm and reviewed how Marharlika restaurant in the Big Apple fared in terms of delivering the familiar comfort that Filipino food brings.
The duo reviewed the restaurant’s take on the Bicol Express and compared with the other coconut based spicy dishes from other Asian cuisines and also delved deeper into the roots of the curry.
