Some Manila Water customers to experience service interruption
Manila Water Company Inc. will implement water service interruption in certain areas this entire weekend to pave way for the construction of the Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line 7.
To be specific, Manila Water will be closing a valve on a major transmission line to allow the cutting and deactivation of its 300mm cast iron pipe along Commonwealth Avenue corner Masaya Street, Barangay Old Capitol Site, Quezon City.
This will result in temporary water service interruption affecting over 176,000 population in 44,056 households, commercial and business establishments in 20 barangays in Quezon City, beginning today at 11:00 PM until 7:00 am tomorrow.
The affected barangays are Ramon Magsaysay, Alicia, Santo Cristo, Bagong Pag-asa, Old Capitol Site, Vasra, Project 6, Culiat, Bahay Toro, Tandang Sora, Pasong Tamo, Botocan, Central, Malaya, Pinyahan, Sikatuna Village, San Vicente, Teachers Village East, Teachers Village West, and U.P. Village.
Manila Water is advising residents of the said barangays to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period.
